The story behind HortiTime

HortiTime was developed by Joost Kolkhuis Tanke, software developer, and Joost Sterke, owner of Plantenkwekerij Joost Sterke. In 2014, they started registering hours manually at the nursery. This was time-consuming and didn’t meet their needs. In 2016, through close collaboration between grower and developer, a program was created that matched their requirements perfectly: HortiTime. The program gradually grew with modules for leave and tasks to reduce the administrative workload at the office. The software was also rolled out at several other nurseries. Due to growing interest from the market, they decided in 2020 to modernise the software. In 2022, this renewed version was launched and HortiTime V.O.F. was founded. This new version is now available and is still being developed further.
