Heutinck Vaste Planten: From paper lists to insight into hours and cost price
Vaste Planten Kwekerij Heutinck is een kwekerij met zo’n 70 collega’s en een assortiment van meer dan 5.000 soorten. Omdat het bedrijf hard groeide, werd de urenadministratie ondoorzichtig. De uren werden deels in Excel en deels op papier bijgehouden, waarbij iedereen zijn eigen lijstjes had.
Vraag vanuit de medewerkers
De stap naar een digitaal systeem kwam bij Heutinck vanuit de medewerkers zelf. De organisatie heeft veel vertrouwen in het personeel, maar de collega’s wilden graag zelf inzicht in hun eigen uren. Ze wilden op elk moment kunnen zien hoeveel verlof ze nog hadden en wat hun saldo aan overuren was. Met HortiTime hebben ze dat inzicht nu op hun eigen telefoon staan.
Slanke opzet
Heutinck zocht een systeem zonder veel poespas dat niet verplicht gekoppeld was aan een loonpakket. De slanke opzet van HortiTime en het directe contact gaven de doorslag. Naast de uren gebruiken ze de documentenmodule om zaken als huisregels en handleidingen centraal te delen, zodat iedereen erbij kan.
Objectieve antwoorden
Sinds de overstap worden discussies minder op basis van onderbuikgevoel gevoerd. Vragen over waarom het ergens drukker is of welke processen veel tijd kosten, worden nu beantwoord met cijfers. Doordat handelingen aan de uren worden gekoppeld, krijgt Vaste Planten Kwekerij Heutinck meer inzicht in de kostprijs en waar er eventueel bespaard kan worden.
Vertrouwen in de data
In het begin was er af en toe discussie als de eigen administratie van een medewerker niet overeenkwam met het systeem. In die gevallen bleek HortiTime aan de hand van de gegevens telkens de juiste uren te hebben. Inmiddels vertrouwt iedereen op de urenregistratie in het systeem, wat zorgt voor rust bij de medewerkers en de administratie.
